Materials

-One 1”x4”x8’ pine or poplar board
-Wood glue
-1 ¼” wood screws
-¼ pound 2 ½” ring shank nails
-1½ pound 3″ ring shank nails
-Stain or paint (optional)
-Clear finish (optional)

Steps

Making a Pizza Dough Box is a great way to keep your pizza dough from drying out.
You’ll need:
-1/2″ Plywood (we used maple)
-a jigsaw
-a drill
-a 1″ hole saw
-sandpaper
-2 small hinges
-2 small handles or knobs
First, cut your plywood into a 18″x18″ square. Then, use the jigsaw to cut four 1 1/2″ wide strips that are 18″ long. These will be the sides of your box.
Next, take two of the strips and attach them together with hinges, making sure that the hinge is flush with the top of the strip. Now do the same thing with the other two strips.
Now you should have two hinged panels. To make the bottom of the box, take one of the panels and drill four holes evenly spaced along one long side. These will be for your handles or knobs.
To finish up, attach the bottom panel to one of the side panels with hinges and then add your handles or knobs. Now you’re all done!
